What is a functional health coach? You are not defined by your illness! Functional Medicine is a scientific approach to health that emphasizes uncovering the upstream causes of symptoms, including high blood pressure, insomnia, weight gain, digestive issues, autoimmune dynamics, high blood sugar, and cravings for sugar and food. Often, lab work, health history, current symptoms, and lifestyle habits are assessed in ways that differ from conventional references. 


How can you be supported on your journey to regain optimal health? As a Certified Functional Medicine Health Coach, I focus on YOU as a unique individual. I guide you in exploring your position on the health dis-ease continuum. Like detectives, we uncover the root causes and then create a path that fosters thriving, making chronic disease prevention a priority. Tools we will implement may include stress reduction, mindfulness about breathing {yes, how is your breathing in THIS moment?}, a personalized nutritional plan, adjustments to supplement intake, physical movement, connection with nature, and reduction of toxins in your body and environment. We'll also work on building real-life social connections and community. 


There is usually a window of opportunity where we can be most productive. The earlier we start, the easier and faster it will be to achieve your health goals, including weight loss coaching if needed! 


Make a commitment to yourself and your HEALTH! We begin with an initial intake. I will review the information you provide before our first official in-person or Zoom session. Together, we will decide how frequently we may need to meet—whether once or twice a week, transitioning to every two weeks based on what will be most beneficial for you. I am also available to you in-between sessions via text, email, or phone as necessary.
